The Winter Intensive will be hosted at the world-class Sirata Beach Resort.

Advance hotel registration is highly recommended. The special Sirata room rate of $124/night (plus taxes) cannot be guaranteed past November 1st,  (We strongly encourage you to make a reservation in advance.) These specially negotiated  rates are also available 3 days after the event if you want to stay over for a few days. Because of the New Year’s Eve holiday, the discount rate is $194/night if you wish to reserve during the days before camp. (Believe it or not, this is still a significant discount, even though it is higher than during the week!) To reserve a room now, call 1-800-344-5999 and mention “ASU Aikido Winter Intensive”. Keep in mind, the hotel rooms can be comfortably shared by up to four people (two queen beds). Or, for a small upcharge of $25-$30/night you can request a studio or a suite which has a living room with fold-out couch and a mini-kitchen, so you don’t have to go out for meals as much.

Once you are here, a rental car is not really necessary since practically everything is within walking distance. There are several bars and restaurants (also pools, hot tubs, and the beach of course) on the Sirata campus. But there are also numerous restaurants, cafes, shops, and a grocery store within only a few short blocks of the hotel.

For those interested, an inexpensive lodging alternative is the Fort Desoto Park. Fort Desoto offers some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, and is only about a 10 minute drive from the Sirata. Campsites can be booked online, and are available for about $30/ night. Availability fills up quickly, so book well in advance if you are interested.
